Two BCI ATMs are operational since Sunday, June 26, in Afungi, district of Palma, in Cabo Delgado province. They are the first to reopen after the interruption of economic activity due to the military instability in the northern part of the country.
With these ATM booths, the BCI is once again assisting the populations of the Afungi peninsula region and the Quitunda community, a village built to resettle families from the oil and gas project perimeter in Palma. This is a concerted action with the strategic partner of Area 1.
A pioneer in the district, BCI was the first bank to provide financial services in Palma, since 2012, and for many years the only financial institution there, becoming a privileged partner in the Gas exploration project, throughout its value chain.
It should be recalled that BCI currently leads in the main balance sheet indicators: assets, deposits, credits, and constitutes, with more than 200 business units and a vast ATM and POS network, the largest commercial banking network in the country.
