Fonte Fresca has a new image focused on environmental conservation

The ceremony was led by the Administrator of the Marracuene district, Shafee Sidat, in a joint act with the director of the factory, António Alves, witnessed by representatives of the local community, employees of the new unit, community leaders and partners.

There was a guided visit to the plant where one learned about the operation of its production line with the capacity to produce and bottle 300 thousand liters of natural mineral water per day through the most sophisticated technologies in the market.

Speaking during the ceremony, the unit’s director, António Alves, said that the current production capacity will be increased soon, since an expansion of the infrastructure is planned.

At the moment, the plant has about 50 locally hired employees. “We are taking steps to consolidate our position in the market through this local project that exploits a local resource with local labor,” Alves stressed, stressing that the unit was designed to enable a logistically sustainable production in the supply of natural mineral water to the province and Maputo City.

For his part, the district administrator, Shafee Sidat, said that between 2019 and 2021, Marracuene will grow from 24,000 to 271,000 inhabitants, an increase in the order of 43,000 inhabitants, thus becoming the second most populous district in Maputo province after Matola.

One of its pillars is to maintain the health and well-being of customers and employees through the highest standards of hygiene and safety, as well as a commitment to environmental conservation.
