Absa Bank Mozambique and Mozambican Medical Association (AMM) have recently signed a memorandum of understanding with the objective of promoting synergies in order to maximize the use of resources, establishing a mutually advantageous partnership at all levels in order to take the maximum benefits for both institutions.
For the Director of Retail Banking and Business, Marta Humbane, “during the Covid-19 pandemic, the fundamental role of doctors in society became evident, and therefore we could not remain indifferent to this segment that through their proactivity and diligence in health care.
Marta Humbane also said that this is the first partnership of many yet to come, guaranteeing that the AMM can count on a dedicated and fully available team for negotiations or any questions.
AMM’s president, Milton Uamusse Tatia, reacted to the partnership in the following terms: “for us it is a pleasure to finish one stage and start another, this is the fruit of several months of talks and work, we would like this partnership to give us more fruits so that, next year, Absa can support us in more moments. We are ready to publicize this partnership within our association, to raise awareness among physicians so that they can join this initiative, since the memorandum benefits both sides.”
The bank intends to make it possible to offer solutions from products and services that meet the needs of doctors registered at the AMM. To this end, it has also made available a subsidized interest rate associated with a series of services, including access to the Customer Support Line by phone or e-mail for account maintenance and service-related requests available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, balance consultations with no associated commissions, current account and credit card movements on the bank’s ATMs and online banking, free bank-to-bank bank transfers through the bank’s digital channels, among other services.
