Auto Sueco Moçambique, a well-known Volvo dealer, has announced that it will now operate under the global Nors brand. This change reflects a strategy to unify the brand in all the markets where the company is present.
With more than 90 years of history, Nors brings together several brands, including the now renamed Nors Mozambique. The company will continue to distribute and service Volvo and Dongfeng trucks, Volvo buses, and the construction equipment segment in the Mozambican market.
The new identity was unveiled during a globally broadcast event attended by 3,000 employees. Nors presented its mission of “Improving life and business through leading services and equipment”, based on values such as legacy, humanism, ambition, diligence and integrity.
The name change is part of a wider strategy that encompasses 17 brands in seven countries, including Portugal, Brazil, Angola, Mozambique, Namibia and Canada. Under the new structure, Nors will organize its operations into five main areas: trucks and buses, construction equipment, agriculture, aftersales and new business.
According to Tomás Jervell, CEO of the Nors Group, “The new brand reflects the ambition to be recognized for the excellence of its services and teams, and is prepared for the future and global transformations.”
