Rui Bispo: “F3M is consolidating the path to leadership in the technological sector”

Profile Mozambique: F3M Mozambique is part of a group with over 38 years of experience and has had a solid presence in the country since 2012. Could you share a bit more about the origin of the company and the meaning behind the name “F3M”?

Rui Bispo: F3M Mozambique has been operating in the country since 2012, and it is part of the F3M group based in Portugal, which has over 38 years of existence. The company specializes in software development and the implementation of customized projects, as well as maintaining a strategic partnership with Cegid Primavera since its foundation.

F3M Mozambique focuses on the commercialization and implementation of ERPs and management software for companies in Mozambique, helping optimize their operational processes.

As for the origin of the name “F3M,” it dates back to the company’s foundation by four university students, with the initials of their names forming the designation. Currently, only one of the founders, Pedro Fraga, remains with the company.

PM: What are the main sectors of operation for F3M Mozambique, and how have the solutions provided contributed to the development of these sectors?

RB: Through our partnership with Cegid Primavera, F3M offers Primavera software, a widely recognized solution in the market. It is a horizontal software, meaning it can be implemented in various business areas and customized according to the specific needs of each client.

Additionally, F3M is also a software house, dedicated to developing specialized technological solutions. In this scope, we create and implement vertical software tailored to meet the specific requirements of certain industry sectors.

PM: What is F3M Mozambique’s market share in the sector in which it operates?

RB: In the sectors where we operate with our proprietary software, such as opticians and kindergartens, F3M is clearly the market leader.

Regarding management software, within our partnership with Cegid Primavera, we hold a high status, which gives us a significant market share and solid recognition. This position allows us to serve all clients with the utmost attention, while also having the capacity to effectively meet the needs of medium and large enterprises.

PM: Recently, F3M expanded its online training offering to Mozambique after a significant increase in demand in Portugal. What have been the results of this initiative, and how has it impacted local professionals and businesses?

RB: Training is an essential pillar for our clients, and F3M continuously invests in this area to ensure they use our ERPs and software effectively and without difficulties. Our goal is to keep them always up to date, as software is constantly evolving, not only due to technological advancements but also because of fiscal and legal changes in different countries.

In this sense, we focus on strengthening our relationship with clients, concentrating on training their professionals. This ensures they can use and continue with the solutions we sell and market within their companies.

On the other hand, F3M stands out for its multidisciplinary team, which is prepared to respond efficiently to the various needs of the market.

PM: What are the main challenges F3M Mozambique faces in the current market, and what strategies are being implemented to overcome them?

RB: The challenges we face naturally stem from competition. To differentiate ourselves, we always aim to offer a distinct product and service, whether through specialized consulting or differentiated implementation.

We invest heavily in communication with our clients and maintain a strategy focused on the excellence of the work we have been developing since 2012. Our commitment is to continue growing and evolving, ensuring the best solutions and quality service for our clients.

PM: What have been the main recognitions and awards given to F3M Mozambique in recent years, and how do these distinctions reflect your commitment to certifying consultants and the quality of the projects delivered?

RB: F3M has strongly invested in certifying its consultants, which not only enhances client trust but also leads to recognition of our work and the recommendation of our services. This approach has allowed us to carry out projects according to client expectations and boost the growth of our client base over the years.

Within our partnership with Cegid Primavera, which annually recognizes its partners, we have been acknowledged on several occasions. Most recently, in 2023, we were awarded the Best Partner of the Year for 2022, reflecting our commitment to excellence and the quality of the services we provide.

PM: What are F3M Mozambique’s expectations regarding the development of the Information and Communication Technology sector in the country in the coming years?

RB: Digital transformation in Mozambique has already taken important steps, but there is still a long way to go. I believe that, in the coming years, it will be essential for the Mozambican economy to become more digital and adopt more management software solutions.

Small traders, who still rely on paper, will need to adapt to the evolution of technology, whether for fiscal reasons or to keep up with market changes. This digital evolution will be essential to prevent Mozambique from falling behind, as other countries, faster to adapt, will move ahead and gain competitiveness.
