CFM invests USD 3 million to make the Port of Quelimane more competitive

The announcement was made by the company’s CEO, Miguel Matabel, who was speaking to the region’s business community about the business potential at the port of Quelimane, stressing that the infrastructure is ready to handle cargo from ships with a capacity of up to 10 thousand metric tons gross.

Matabel explained that the dredging strategy aims to increase revenue and provide opportunities for hinterland countries to use the infrastructure for their imports.

The governor of Zambézia, Pior Matos, invited national and foreign businessmen to use the Port of Quelimane to re-launch economic growth and enable anchor projects for the Special Economic Zone of Mocuba.
