“For us to make a healthy tourism we need to have our policies aligned with what is the development of the country and we have to look first to domestic tourism, not forgetting of course international tourism,” he said.
Vasco Manhiça also said that Mozambique needs to look inside the country to create a tourism culture that will provide conditions for international tourism to “find us in a cruising speed”.
About the 8th edition of FIKANI, the vice-president of the Confederation Association considered that “we are facing an opportunity to demonstrate what is the potential of Mozambique”.
Vasco Manhiça also referred that Mozambique is currently facing great difficulties due to the war in Cabo Delgado, however he claims that there is a need to change mentalities to show that the country is at war, but that this does not affect all regions.
“Whoever is outside does not know the geographic situation of Mozambique and thinks that the country is at war, when in fact there are some focuses”, he concluded.
