Awarding the winning companies of the Company + Employment Campaign

As part of the Empresa +Emprego campaign, which is part of the +Emprego project, an action funded by the European Union and co-financed and managed by Camões IP, in partnership with CTA, three winning companies were awarded today. They are PANGEA (1st place), SAC Agribusiness (2nd place) and Gráfica ABS (3rd place).

The Empresa +Emprego Campaign was launched in November 2023 and aims to give visibility and recognition to SMEs in Cabo Delgado that value Social, Environmental and Corporate Governance (ESG) Responsibility, leading to the employability of young people in the province and the community in which they operate and assuming a stance of social and corporate responsibility.

In this campaign, 31 companies from the province of Cabo Delgado signed up, mostly from the Agriculture, Livestock, Health, Logistics, Oil & Gas, Printing Services, Construction, Maritime Agency and Consultancy sectors. From this universe, six companies were selected for the final stage (three of which were classified as winners), which demonstrated their actions to promote good practices in sustainability and environmental management and corporate governance, with emphasis on the articulation, involvement and contribution of the surrounding communities, valuing good practices for the employment of young people, women and people with disabilities, as well as valuing innovative Human Resources management practices.

In addition to the trophies, the first-place winner will receive a business mission to Lisbon and Porto (Portugal), to be held from April 10 to 15 this year by the CTA; the second-place winner will have direct access to the specialized certification program; and the third-place winner will attend the 19th Annual Private Sector Conference, to be held from May 15 to 17 this year.
The ceremony also awarded the Woman Entrepreneur +EMPREGO prize to Cecília Machele, manager of Gráfica ABS, who, in addition to the trophy, will receive a training course for the company’s Human Resources managers.

For the promoters of this initiative, this action underlines their commitment to dedicated support for SMEs in Cabo Delgado, through technical assistance and actions to improve the business environment.
