Banco Comercial e de Investimentos (BCI) has received three important awards for excellence from Global Business & Finance Magazine, a prestigious international magazine based in the United States. The awards were announced in the 2025 edition of the publication, recognizing BCI as “Best Private Bank – Mozambique”, “Best Retail Bank – Mozambique” and “Best Banking CEO Mozambique 2025”.
According to an official statement from the bank, the selection process for the awards is extremely rigorous, taking into account a series of performance and merit indicators. The researchers responsible for the evaluation take into account analyses of financial results, opinions from experts in the sector and significant contributions to the country’s economic development.
Leadership in the banking sector
BCI stands out as a benchmark in Mozambique’s financial system, leading in key indicators such as assets, deposits and loans, as well as having the largest network of business units, automated teller machines (ATMs) and points of sale (POS) in the country.
The institution stresses that the awards not only reinforce its commitment to excellence in the banking sector, but also reflect its continued dedication to strengthening the national economy. In its note, BCI expresses pride at being recognized among the best in the market, with a strategy focused on innovation, trust and excellence in customer service.
