Most of the companies insured by Emose, in the city of Beira, operate in the fields of transport, trade, industry and logistics that saw their assets totally or partially destroyed by the cyclone.
At the top of the insured companies that received the largest amount of compensation is the Ajuda de Desenvolvimento de Povo para Povo (ADPP), a non-governmental organization that operates in the areas of education, health, agriculture and welfare, which saw its clothing stores swept away by rainwater, having been paid, by Emose, more than 33 million meticais.
The information was revealed by the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Emose, Joaquim Langa, in an interview with AIM, quoted by the newspaper “Notícias”.
