Millennium bim was once again distinguished with the “Bank of the Year” award in Mozambique by Euromoney magazine, a global reference publication specializing in capital markets, as part of Euromoney – Awards for Excellence & Markets Leaders 2022.
This award, considered as a reference in banking excellence, recognizes the institutions with the greatest ability to generate results, obtain strategic advantages and respond to the market in the best way.
In this context, the award highlights the Bank’s robustness and growth combined with its financial performance, the digital transformation and modernization of its services and products with regard to the Bank’s ability to innovate and develop technologies that facilitate and simplify the daily lives of its customers.
In addition, the award also highlighted the Bank’s exceptional leadership in times of crisis, notably for the Bank’s judicious management practices and immediate response in the context of the health and economic crisis brought on by the Covid-19 pandemic.
Euromoney’s jury also recognized the Bank’s performance in terms of data protection policies and security of Customers’ banking operations, as well as the strategic actions of social responsibility undertaken to promote the well-being and improvement of living conditions of populations, especially in the context of natural disasters and armed conflict that ravaged the central and northern areas of the country.

The Chief Executive Officer of Millennium bim also emphasized the trust placed by the Bank’s Customers, in that “the greatest privilege of Millennium bim is based on the satisfaction of our Customers. This satisfaction is evident in the acceptance of the many banking solutions that Millennium bim offers to the market, thus guaranteeing the growth and modernization of banking and the national economy. This award is confirmation that the Bank is on the right path by investing in human capital and community development, in the migration of its products and services to digital, and in the financial inclusion of the population through the various partnerships signed with local entities.
