First Ukrainian grain ship scheduled to depart today

“The ships are loaded. Everything is ready. There are some minor complications, said Turkish presidential spokesman Ibrahim Kalin, quoted by News to the Minute.

With Turkey’s mediation, Moscow and Kiev signed an agreement in Istanbul on July 22 to export about 22 million tons of grain from three Ukrainian ports: Odessa, Pivdennyi and Chornomorsk.

According to Notícias ao Minuto, Ukrainian tugboats will take sea convoys along a safe route, free of floating mines, and Turkish naval vessels will escort them to the Bosphorus.

It should be noted that since the signing of the agreement, a coordination and supervision center for this sea route has been operating in Istanbul, with 20 representatives, both civilian and military, sent by Russia, Ukraine, Turkey and the United Nations.
