Geopolitical upheavals may increase demand for Africa’s gas – INP

INP participates in the current edition of that event organized by dmg events, as the entity responsible for the promotion and administration of petroleum operations, as well as a catalyst for reflections of ideas and solutions for the sector based on the perspectives and potentialities that the country has in terms of volumes of energy resources, LNG-wise.

Therefore, Nazário Bangalane, in his speech, characterized the event as a space of discussion of excellence for the development of new solutions and that the objective of INP is to project Mozambique as a right answer to the global energy challenge.

Bangalane also believes that Mozambique’s current potential, which is about 180 Tcf (trillion cubic feet) of natural gas resources and 165 MMbll (million barrels) of oil in situ, could contribute positively to regional and international gas supplies.

In this, INP further points out that despite the global energy disruption, natural gas demand is expected to grow for at least the next decade, and Mozambique’s projects have good LNG export potential due to its strategic location, meaning it benefits from proximity to markets such as Asia.
