Mozambican delegation strengthens trade ties with Mayotte through co-operation agreements

A Mozambican delegation recently visited the Mayotte Islands to sign cooperation agreements aimed at strengthening bilateral trade relations. This initiative follows on from the business mission carried out this year, consolidating efforts to expand business opportunities between the two territories.
From the private sector, the delegation is led by Hermegildo Manjate, representing the Confederation of Economic Associations of Mozambique (CTA), together with the Director General of AFIL Comercial. On the government side, representatives from the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, with a focus on the almond sector in Mozambique, complement the composition of the delegation.
During their stay in Mayotte, the Mozambican delegation took part in strategic meetings with various public institutions and economic associations from the local private sector. During these interactions, co-operation agreements were signed that seek to deepen commercial ties between the two regions.

The Confederation of Economic Associations of Mozambique (CTA) will play a crucial role in the post-mission process, drawing up a comprehensive dossier to be submitted to the French commissioners. This document aims to guarantee the effectiveness of the cooperation agreements that have now been formalised. The main focus of these agreements is to consolidate and expand bilateral trade relations between Mozambique and Mayotte.
The initiative highlights the commitment of both the private sector and the Mozambican government to exploring and capitalising on mutual opportunities for economic growth. The results of the mission represent a significant step forward in promoting bilateral trade, creating a solid foundation for sustainable partnerships between Mozambique and Mayotte.
