“Mozambique is a long-time partner in several vital areas. In financing lines, for example, India has already made available to Mozambique seven hundred and seventy-three million dollars. India has granted several scholarships to train Mozambicans in various projects,” described the representative.
Still in this context, the representative said that “Mozambique absorbs 37% of Indian foreign investment directed to Africa. We have large investments in the gas exploration project in Cabo Delgado province. Thus, our relationship is strong, unique and special”, he detailed.
Representing the Government, Daniel Nivagara, in turn, defended that the relationship with India has always been healthy.
“It is known that India was one of the first countries to recognize the independence of Mozambique. And the relations between our countries have been coming for quite some time. Because of this relationship, we have been cooperating in several areas of great interest, such as agro-processing, industry, electrification, transportation and water supply,” said the Minister of Science, Technology and Higher Education.
