The direct flights from Harare to Vilankulo are being carried out under subcontracting of the airline Executive Air, experienced in the Zimbabwean and South African market, with more than 50 years of history and holder of the air operator certificate.
Meanwhile, the President of the Vilankulo Tourism Association, Yassin Amuji, after announcing the news, was optimistic about the start of Kuva Air’s operations in that point of the country, having considered in an interview with Profile that Vilankulo expects to surpass by the end of August the 5873 flights referring to the year 2019.
Amuji also said that negotiations are underway so that more airlines can return to operate in Vilankulo, as is the case of Ethiopian Airlines to make the usual Vilankulo-Cape Town route.
It should be noted that A Kuva Air has proposed to make two weekly flights from Harare-Vilanculos.
Kuva Air, which on June 1, conducted its inaugural Harare-Hwange-Victoria Falls flight on June 1, 2022, revealed that it is more focused on connecting more domestic tourism destinations in Zimbabwe.
