Portugal and Mozambique sign agreement to share agricultural research activities

The protocols (6) also provide for supporting the country in the areas of education, security and justice. According to “O País”, Filipe Nyusi and the Portuguese Prime Minister, António Costa, held a closed meeting, followed by a meeting extended to the delegations to then come to the agreements.

The cooperation protocol between the Ministries of Agriculture of Mozambique and Portugal on the 2022-2025 action plan, aims essentially at sharing activities on agricultural research, in addition to the agreement for the sustainable development of Mozambique Island in Nampula.

Apart from the agreements, the leaders answered journalists’ questions, and Filipe Nyusi reiterated that the country will make the first gas export this year and there is already an identified market.

António explained, in turn, that two agreements would be closed today, which aim at the creation of an oil research center in Cabo Delgado province and a training program for 1200 young people in the area of gas.
