SEJE will provide one and a half million meticais to each youth of Agora Emprega

Agora Emprega is one of the components of the Emprega program with the objective of promoting employment in the country, aimed at young people who have a business idea or a project in a startup, micro, small or medium existing company, and who need support and guidance to materialize it.

In the occasion, it was up to the KPMG representative, Miguel Alvim, to present the evaluation criteria of the competitors. Alvim guaranteed transparency in the candidate selection process, having said that about 50 personalities with authority in the field were invited to analyze the best projects.

Of the 350 candidates publicly presented, only 50 will benefit from this non-refundable funding to be made available by SEJE, an entity that was represented by its secretary Oswaldo Petersburgo.

In his turn, Petersburgo, quoted the speech of the President of the Republic, Filipe Nyusi, made in the context of the opening of Agora Emprega – “with the program employs we want young people to create their own companies and employ other young people.

Oswaldo Petersburg took the opportunity to announce another $18 million project to benefit young people.

Profile talked to one of the 350 potential beneficiaries of the funding, Rafael Regula, from the Manhiça district, whose business plan is linked to the aquaculture sector.

His project carries the name “Our Fish” and he is hoping to be one of the 50 winners. Asked what will be his contribution to the national economy, Regula said that it is part of the objectives of his project, to reduce unemployment in the district of Manhiça, and to enhance and export his products.
