Sérgio Gomes Macedo: I am the Managing Partner and Founder of Sérgio Macedo Limitada – Real Estate & Investments. The company was established in 2012 with the aim of addressing the need for a real estate agency that adhered to international standards and could keep pace with the rapid growth of the real estate market in Maputo.
PM: What were the main challenges faced in the early years, and how were they overcome?
SGM: I can say that the early years were far from easy. The main challenge was earning the trust of clients and property owners, as my work was not yet well-known in Maputo. Gaining the trust of a small group of people was crucial; it allowed me to demonstrate my capabilities and the quality of my work. I’m very proud to still have them as clients today.
These challenges shaped us, strengthened our market position, and transformed Sérgio Macedo Lda. into the reputable company it is now.
