WB will help offset rise in fuel prices

According to the Bloomberg financial information agency, the financial support will be in the form of unconditional transfers to the poorest and most vulnerable citizens for six months, in addition to direct support given to public transport passengers.

The Bank has not said how much it plans to spend or how the transfers will be made.

The war in Ukraine and global inflationary pressures led to the new fuel prices, which took effect on July 2.
