Of the total exports made, 98 % were made within the Southern African Development Community (SADC) region and 2 % with the rest of the world.
Energy, heavy areas, aluminum, coal and agricultural products are the products that stood out in these exports.
These are data provided to Radio Mozambique in Blantyre city in Malawi, by the national director of Foreign Trade, Claire Zimba.
According to Zimba, Mozambique has a committed agenda of internationalization, which fits into the value addition, import substitution and promotion of qualitative mobility of investments for industry, agriculture, tourism, mineral resources and infrastructure of logistics corridors, areas that the country can make a difference.
The national director of foreign trade of Mozambique, Claire Zimba, explains that despite the growth in export volume, the country still needs to significantly reduce imports, given that the trade deficit for the first half of this year, is above fifty percent.
It should be noted that Mozambique earned five billion five hundred and eighty-six dollars, resulting from last year’s exports.
