The company, operated by Moza Minerais, already has the equipment installed and production trials are currently underway.

Elias indicated that, similarly to what has been happening with gold production, ruby extraction has been growing.
Overall, for the gems, we registered a good production, about 67 percent of the plan. We have to highlight here the ruby, which is produced in the province of Cabo Delgado, more precisely in the district of Montepuez, he explained.
The source also explained that during the first half of the current year, Montepuez Ruby Mining (MRM) and Fura Mining, two companies operating in the Montepuez district, held one auction each.
The first auction was Fura Mining’s, having been held in Thailand, where the company sold some 82 kilograms of ruby. Then it was the turn of Montepuez Ruby Mining, which held an auction of about 96 kilograms of ruby.
