PR presents 5 thousand young scholarship holders of the Acredita Emprega project

“At the national level, “Acredita Emprega” will award professional training scholarships and support services to more than 20,000 young people and provide a financial grant to more than four thousand,” said Filipe Nyusi.

In all, according to “O País”, 51 more districts will be covered, in the provinces of Niassa, Cabo Delgado, Zambézia, Sofala, Manica, Tete and Nampula.

The beneficiaries will be trained in several technical-vocational areas, such as locksmiths, electricity, computers, mechanics, cooking, beauty and aesthetics, and sewing.

“Young people have an obligation to take ownership of these programs and initiatives as a way to ensure their better preparation and motivation for the job market, through know-how,” he said.

For the training of young people, there are already 10 private institutions that receive about 71.5 billion Meticais. In Maputo City and Province, the thousand best candidates will win funding of about 65 thousand Meticais to implement their projects.

The “Acredita Emprega”, which has funding from the World Bank is the second component of the “Emprega” project, the first is the “Agora Emprega”, which of the 3020 competitors, in its pilot phase, from Maputo Province and City, selected 350 candidates, who are already in training in business matters.

The 50 best projects will have a funding of about one million and 500 thousand Meticais.
