Belgium Provides 25 Million Euros for Energy Transition

Belgium will provide Mozambique with 25 million euros for programs to reduce the impact of climate change and energy transition.

The information was advanced this Wednesday by the Belgian ambassador, Didier Vanderhasselt, who announced that the amount corresponds to more than 1.6 billion Meticais. The program to be funded by this money is for the period 2023 to 2027.

“The budget focuses on energy transition and climate change,” said Didier Vanderhasselt.
Since October 2016, construction work on the Dam has been at a standstill following the suspension of the $320 million funding by the Brazilian bank.
