CTA and Sasol strengthen strategic partnership to boost hydrocarbon business

The Confederation of Economic Associations of Mozambique (CTA) has formalized a strategic partnership with Sasol. The agreement, signed during a business gala on Tuesday, December 12, aims to foster business opportunities in the hydrocarbon projects run by Sasol.
The memorandum, initialed by Sasol’s General Manager in Mozambique, Ovídio Rodolfo, and the Chairman of the Board of Directors of CTA, Agostinho Vuma, establishes a collaboration that extends to sharing information with the Mozambican business community. The aim is to provide information on the opportunities for acquiring goods and services in the projects being developed by the petrochemical company.

The agreement is not limited to the exchange of information; it also includes the organization of business missions. The purpose of these missions is to facilitate the creation of partnerships between local and foreign suppliers in the oil and gas industry value chain. Under the agreement, CTA will make its local supplier base available to Sasol, promoting greater inclusion of Mozambican companies in the South African company’s projects.
Sasol, for its part, undertakes to share its perspective on the areas and skills to be developed by the suppliers. This will allow the parties involved to collaboratively explore ways to promote the development of capacities and skills, further strengthening the local presence in hydrocarbon projects.
This agreement not only strengthens commercial ties, but also represents a significant step towards sustainable economic development, encouraging the active participation of Mozambican companies in strategic projects in the energy sector.
