Tempus Global Group reveals National Benefits and Human Capital Management Survey and trends for companies in 2023

Tempus Global Group released the results of the 2023 National Benefits and Human Capital Management Survey this Tuesday (28), revealing valuable insights into HR practices in Mozambican companies. The study, which began in 2021 with 140 participating organizations, reached a significant milestone this year, reaching 200 companies.

The survey focused on five pillars: Compensation and Benefits, Career, Work Environment, Culture and Work-Life Balance. In addition, changes and additions to the 2023 survey were highlighted, including an increase in the participation of private sector organizations and NGOs.

In the work-life balance pillar, 68% of organizations have formal policies that address this issue. These policies include flexible working hours (60%), offering days off (53%), and the possibility of remote working (49%). In addition, 41% of organizations carry out specific actions to promote work-life balance based on the survey results.

Finally, with regard to the employee experience, 76% of the participating organizations claim to measure employee satisfaction. Of these, 46% carry out internal satisfaction surveys annually, 32% every two years, 10% quarterly and 5% every six months. Among the organizations that measure employee satisfaction, 67% say that the survey is carried out anonymously to ensure honesty.

Vanessa Tavares, Project Manager at Tempus Unity, pointed out that the company has evolved to offer holistic solutions in three main areas: research, consulting and benefits management. She said that all the solutions are data-driven, reflecting the company’s philosophy on decision-making.

In presenting the results, Tempus addressed crucial issues such as the representativeness of the public and private sectors, diversity in the areas of activity and the experience of HR professionals. The highlight was the increase in the participation of organizations in the survey, highlighting the growing relevance of the study.

The report included a detailed analysis of the survey’s pillars, such as Compensation and Benefits, where an increase in the importance of health insurance as a benefit was noted. The Career pillar revealed data on investments in training and development programs, highlighting a trend towards a focus on leadership.

In conclusion, the unveiling ceremony was attended by representatives from various organizations, and Tempus Global Group expressed the continued importance of the study in promoting better human capital management practices in Mozambique, thus allowing for more in-depth analysis and the implementation of strategic improvements based on the insights provided.
