On Saturday, Maputo International Airport received the second largest aircraft in the world, with capacity for 400 passengers.
According to the Director of Operations at Aeroportos de Moçambique, José Candrino, this milestone demonstrates the capacity of the country’s airports, which are seeing an increase in air traffic.
José Candrino, quoted by Rádio Moçambique (RM), argues that an operation on this scale opens up space for economic gains at different levels.
The AIRBUS A35K 350-1000 aircraft arrived in Maputo with 347 passengers and 19 crew members on board.
