Ministry of Industry and Trade launches “Exporter of the Year Award

The launching of this annual contest that aims to reward the national exporting SMEs that are most notable in 2021, will be done simultaneously with the launching ceremony of the 57th edition of the Maputo International Fair – FACIM.

According to a note from the Investment and Export Promotion Agency (APIEX, IP), the criteria for companies to participate in the contest include having exported to the South African market for the first time or on a continuous basis, as well as for those that use AGOA to export to the United States of America.

Still in the path of the requirements, the note also advances that the company to apply has to be an SME in Mozambique, according to the Decree 44/2021, of September 21, which classifies the size of Mozambican companies; Company that in a structured and sustained way, had the highest index of export volume in 2021 and that has created job opportunities.

It is important to point out that the announcement of the results will take place on the 14th of this month, at FACIM.
