Sasol launches 4th cycle of local business development program

Sasol lança 4.º ciclo do programa de desenvolvimento de empresas locais

South African multinational Sasol has announced the launch of the 4th cycle of its Local Supplier Development Program in Mozambique, in partnership with the country’s government. Twenty companies from the cities of Maxixe and Inhambane will benefit from this training cycle, which aims to empower local companies to increase their competitiveness and stand out in the market. The program includes personalized mentoring sessions tailored to the needs of local entrepreneurs.

During the launch event, the administrator of the town of Maxixe, Maria Do Céu Cumbana, highlighted Sasol’s commitment to promoting the growth of local businesses by providing tools to reach new levels of success. She stressed the importance of companies joining the initiative in order to raise their standards of service and supply of goods.

In the first two training and mentoring cycles, 40 companies based in Inhambane province took part, mainly from Vilankulo district, represented by 88 participants, including 30 women. Currently, 20 companies from the districts of Inhassoro and Govuro are taking part in the 3rd cycle of the program, which will conclude in mid-March 2024. In total, more than 138 Mozambican companies, represented by more than 200 people, have already benefited from this training.
