Standard Bank recognized as Africa’s most valuable banking brand

The Standard Bank group was recently named Africa’s most valuable banking brand in 2022, according to Brand Finance’s annual ranking of the 500 strongest banking brands in the world.

Bernardo Aparício, managing director of Standard Bank in Mozambique, expressed his satisfaction with the brand’s performance, highlighting the hard work done in recent years to radically reformulate the business model and transform customer experiences.

The group has invested heavily in disruptive technologies to provide asset management and insurance banking solutions that help customers achieve their unique goals and ambitions. The business transformation that began in 2019 culminated in the comprehensive repositioning of the brand in 2020, with the launch of the “It’s possible” brand promise.

Bernardo Aparicio stressed that Standard Bank is proud and honoured to be awarded the title of the most valuable banking brand on the African continent, emphasizing that the most successful brands are those that remain in constant evolution, keeping pace with customer needs.
