Of the $70 million, Mozambique will receive $10 million to strengthen higher education and research in agriculture and expand the successful ACE model, which aims to further strengthen the region’s capacity to provide high quality training and applied research in the field of agriculture, says a statement quoted by AIM.
Mozambique has already established its first Center of Excellence in Agri-Food Systems and Innovation, aiming to build high-quality technical and research capacity for agricultural development.
The main objective of ACE II is to strengthen links between universities in participating countries and support efforts to meet the needs of the regional agricultural sector by strengthening agri-food education and training enhanced with transdisciplinary approaches and applied research.
