Inauguration of the Traffic Management Park in Pessene: Greater safety and efficiency for truck drivers at the Port of Maputo

As part of the continuous improvement of logistics and road safety, the Maputo Port Development Company (MPDC) marked a significant step forward for the efficiency and safety of operations between truckers and the Port of Maputo, with the inauguration of the Traffic Management Park in Pessene. This remarkable event was attended by the Honorable Governor of Maputo Province, Júlio Parruque, and the Honorable Minister of Transport and Communications of Mozambique, Dr. Mateus Magala.

The new park has a static capacity for 250 trucks, serving as a crucial temporary stopping point on the way to the Port of Maputo. Among the advantages offered to truckers are a cafeteria for quick meals, toilet facilities for personal hygiene, a security induction process and the possibility of early port processing.

This substantial work not only provides greater road safety, but also aims to optimize operations, making them more efficient and safer for everyone involved. The capacity of the park and the facilities on offer will contribute significantly to a more positive and smoother experience for truckers passing through.

This is a very significant project that will lead to greater road safety for everyone, and more efficient and safer operations.
