Fuel prices may decrease in October

The Minister of Economy and Finance, Max Tonela, believes that the situation will help to lower the cost of living in the country.

Tonela was speaking after receiving the mission of the International Monetary Fund to Mozambique that evaluates macroeconomic indicators. However, A reduction in fuel prices may occur in the next price review.

FMI SAYS PACKAGE ANNOUNCED BY PR IS RIGHT

The International Monetary Fund says that the measures announced by the President of the Republic last August will help to strengthen the Mozambican economy. Álvaro Piris adds that the measures are in line with the IMF guidelines.

It was up to the head of the IMF mission to Mozambique, Álvaro Piris, to take an X-ray of the economy. The responsible person says that the package of measures announced by the President of the Republic is correct.

In general, Álvaro Priris says that the Government has been able to respond to the challenges that the global economy has imposed on Mozambique.

The FIM delegation was in Mozambique for 10 days to assess the economy, but also the way the Government has managed public finances.
