Marco Abalroado Achieves Highest Media Visibility Nationally

The CEO of Access Bank, Marco Abalroado, was the leader with the highest media visibility in Mozambique, according to the CEO Media Report Mozambique 2024, which analyzed publications from January 1 to September 30, 2024.

Marco Abalroado topped the list in terms of article volume and secured the fifth-best favorability score (70.7) in the ranking, driven by initiatives in the field of Social Responsibility.

On the other hand, Agostinho Langa Júnior, CEO of Caminhos de Ferro de Moçambique (CFM), achieved the most positive media favorability. Making his debut in the ranking in 2024, he stood out with the highest favorability index (73.8).

Other findings from this Qualitative Media Analysis Report include:

  • Francisco Costa, CEO of BCI, ranked second in article volume and secured the second-best favorability score, leading in favorability among financial sector CEOs.
  • Osório Lucas, CEO of the Maputo Port Development Company, ranked third in article volume and ninth in favorability.
  • Tomás Matola, Chairman of Hidroeléctrica Cahora Bassa, took fourth place in article volume and tenth in favorability.
  • Manuel Soares, CEO of Moza Banco, ranked fifth in article volume and fourth in favorability.
  • Bernardo Aparício, CEO of Standard Bank, placed sixth in both article volume and favorability.
  • Amélia Muendane, Chairperson of Airports of Mozambique and the first of two female leaders in the 2024 ranking, ranked eighth in both article volume and favorability.
  • Pedro Carvalho, CEO of Absa Bank, secured the ninth spot in article volume and seventh in favorability.
  • Finally, Rui Maximino of Millennium Bim and Ludovina Bernardo of Empresa Nacional de Hidrocarbonetos shared the tenth position in article volume. In terms of favorability, Rui Maximino ranked third, while Ludovina Bernardo—the second female leader in the 2024 ranking—took the tenth spot.
