Cornelder invests in state-of-the-art technology to control access to the Port of Beira

Called Optical Character Recognition (OCR), the system functions as a modern and intelligent portal used to manage the flow of trucks in various American and European cities, and was recently implemented at the Port of Beira Container Terminal.

With the installation of this system, Cornelder de Moçambique hopes to provide greater efficiency in the control of the main accesses to the Port of Beira, as well as automate the registration of containers, truck registrations and images for security purposes, thus reducing human error.

“We have received positive feedback from port users and reiterate our promise to continue our efforts to improve our security levels,” said Jan De Vries, Managing Director of Cornelder de Moçambique.
