The Confederation of Mozambican Economic Associations (CTA) says it is concerned about the looming global food crisis due to export restrictions on wheat resulting from the Russia/Ukraine war.

In addition to wheat, fifteen countries with a major impact on the world food market have banned the export of 25 different products, most notably corn, cooking oil and sugar.

The president of CTA, Agostinho Vuma, who was speaking, told journalists that there are fears that the list of countries to limit exports will increase in the near future.
