OHROS and SolarWorks expand access to renewable energy in Mozambique

OHROS Consulting Group, an international consulting firm specializing in the global energy and utilities sector, has started a collaboration with the Mozambican entity SolarWorks, with the aim of expanding and improving access to renewable solutions in remote areas of the country.

According to Francisco Vassalo, a consultant at OHROS Consulting Group, Mozambique has a high potential for all types of energy, especially renewables, but despite this, many people still live without adequate access to electricity due to poor development.

During the six months of the partnership, more than 100 homes, some health centers and school complexes now have access to renewable energy, benefiting several families.

Vassalo stressed that the main aim of the partnership is to give light and empowerment to the people, through the sale of different types of products and participation in projects. The products supplied range from the smallest system that can power four lamps to systems that can supply restaurants and local businesses.

During the activities, OHROS Consulting Group provided critical support to SolarWorks in a number of areas, helping the company to define a clear strategy, develop business cases, find new partnerships and other ways to boost business development.

Founded in 2007, OHROS Consulting Group, formerly known as UMS Group Europe, is an established international consulting firm specializing in the energy sector, with market recognition for strategic asset management and energy transition.
