Sasol reiterates its commitment to economic development and local content in Mozambique

At the opening of the 3rd Inhambane Investment Conference, Francisco Augusto, Sasol’s Operations Director in Mozambique, shared the company’s experience in implementing a local content strategy. Sasol Petroleum Temane, highlighting its commitment to the economic development of the region, revealed that between 2022 and 2023, the company has invested around 3.6 billion dollars.

It is noteworthy that of this significant amount, 900 million dollars has been earmarked for companies located in Inhambane province. The fund represents more than double the spending in the period since the signing of the five-year local content plan (2019-2025).

Sasol is reinforcing its active role in strengthening the local economy, contributing to the sustainable growth of the region. The substantial financial commitment highlights the importance the company attaches to developing the communities where it operates, strengthening partnerships and boosting the provincial economy.
